4-H Youth Development

4-H prepares young people to step up to the challenges in their community and the world. Positive youth development programs give 4-H youth the hands-on, real world experience they need to become leaders.

Through University of Idaho Extension, 4-H reaches every county in Idaho. With more than 36,000 members and 4,000 volunteers statewide, 4-H helps youths move Idaho, America and the world forward in ways that no other youth organization can.

Membership

4-H is open to all youth between the ages of 8 and 18 years. Youth between the ages of 5-7 can participate in Cloverbuds, a non-competitive version of 4-H.
