Commencement Information for Boise Faculty

We are looking forward to University of Idaho Commencement in Boise at 7:30 p.m. Mountain time Tuesday, May 16, at the Boise Centre (on the Grove), 850 W. Front St., Boise. We hope you plan to attend.

Who Should Attend

Deans from each college with programs in Boise are encouraged to attend. Faculty are also encouraged to attend and congratulate their students.

Regalia

The deadline for ordering faculty regalia is March 24, 2023. You may order your regalia online. Please contact the Office of Alumni Relations at 208-885-6154 for any questions.

Faculty Line-Up/Processional

Faculty members attending the commencement ceremony should report to the Boise Centre (on the Grove) by 7 p.m. Mountain time. Signage will direct faculty to the appropriate location for gowning and line-up areas. The Procession will begin approximately at 7:30 p.m. Mountain time.

Ceremony

After opening remarks and recognition of honors, students will approach the stage to receive their diploma cover. Specialists and Master's candidates will need to arrive to the ceremony wearing their hoods. Faculty should remain seated and congratulate their students from afar as they are lined up to receive their diploma cover.
