University of Idaho Boise Guests
Idaho Water Center (IWC) and Ada County Courthouse Parking Garages
- Due to the limited number of parking permits available in the Idaho Water Center and Ada County Courthouse garages, parking permits are not available.
- First hour of parking is free, $1 per hour for additional hours
- Parking is free after 6:30 p.m. and on weekends and federal holidays.
For Special Events
Event organizers can pre-pay for event parking. Contact the on-site parking manager at 208-336-0821 or AdaCoManager@carparkusa.com.
For Employees and Students
Board-appointed employees are eligible to purchase parking permits at the Idaho Water Center via payroll deduction. Adjunct faculty and temporary help employees can purchase a permit any time during the year with a credit card. No student permits are available at this time.
Onsite Parking Options
- Idaho Water Center — General ($435 Annually) — No specific spot assigned, you may park in any un-marked stall in the three main parking garages within the courthouse corridor on a first-come, first-served basis. If the main covered garage directly beneath the Idaho Water Center is full, you will have to look for a spot in the covered garage beneath the apartment buildings directly west or in the covered garage beside the Boise courthouse within the same parking access area. Parking in any stalls marked guest or tandem will be subject to fines.
- Idaho Water Center — Surface ($435 Annually) — Limited parking, walk-up access to the front doors of the Idaho Water Center, uncovered and exposed to the elements.
- Idaho Water Center — Tandem ($435 Annually) — Located in the main covered garage directly beneath the Idaho Water Center, each tandem parking spot is assigned and shares access with one other parker. Your parking partner will be assigned and contact information will be sent to you. You will be responsible for coordinating parking schedules with your parking partner.
Please note: Parking is not available in the surrounding businesses’ parking lots.
Bus Pass
- Students and employees are eligible for free bus passes through Valley Ride. Contact University of Idaho Boise Operations at uibops@uidaho.edu for more details.

Secure Bike Parking
- Bicycle stands located around the Idaho Water Center and the Idaho College of Law building are available for student use.
- Students with assigned workspaces in the Idaho Water Center building may park their bikes in the bike cage located in the parking garage beneath the building. Please contact uibops@uidaho.edu to obtain the code.
