Congratulations College of Science graduates of 2024!

Congratulations College of Science graduates!

Your graduation is an important milestone. The college faculty, staff and I are excited to celebrate your achievement with you.

A College of Science degree is tough to attain under regular circumstances, and your class is among a unique group of graduates completing degrees in a very difficult time in our nation’s history. Your hard work and resilience have paid off, and you will be prepared for anything as you move forward in your careers.

While I wish we could celebrate with an in-person commencement, we are keeping everyone’s health and safety at the forefront of our planning. I hope you will enjoy the virtual commencement activities as well as the “Celebration in a Box” you will receive to commemorate your achievements and time at the U of I.

We hope to be able to come together in spring 2021 for an in-person event, and I look forward to celebrating with you then.

Congratulations on joining the more than 125,000 Vandal alumni. I hope you will continue to find ways to show your Vandal spirit and support the university.

Go Vandals!

Sincerely,

Ginger E. Carney
