U of I Presents “Every Brilliant Thing” for World Suicide Awareness Day

MOSCOW, Idaho — In recognition of World Suicide Awareness Day, University of Idaho will host a performance of the life-affirming play “Every Brilliant Thing” at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 10 in the Forge Theatre.
“Every Brilliant Thing,” written by Duncan MacMillan with Jonny Donahoe, is a warm and wholesome play. Starring U of I Assistant Professor Craig A. Miller, the play balances conveying life’s struggles and celebrating its sweetness. U of I’s Counseling and Testing Center, U of I Recreation and Wellbeing, and Miller will lead a question-and-answer session following the show.
The performance is sponsored by U of I Recreation and Wellbeing.
“This show brings hope, help and strength to life in an authentic and heartfelt performance,” said Amanda Ferstead, assistant director of health promotion. “No matter your connection to mental health concerns, this show is a must-see event.”
The show is free for U of I students, who can reserve tickets starting Aug. 22. The public can reserve tickets starting Aug. 29 at uidaho.edu/theatretix. Tickets cost $5 to $25.
