Why Idaho?
Choosing to attend UI Law allowed me to pursue my legal education goals without uprooting my family. My children have thrived here in Boise, so relocating would have been difficult. I also plan to start my legal career locally after graduating, so attending law school at the University of Idaho is the ideal situation for me to earn my JD close to home.
What advice would you offer to incoming 1Ls?
My advice to incoming 1L students is to be open to refining study habits to find effective techniques. Attend professors’ office hours, as they provide invaluable help for comprehending concepts and exam preparation. Forming small study groups allows collaboration with classmates and exposure to alternate viewpoints. Overall, remain adaptable in your educational strategies and utilize all resources available to succeed in this first year of law school.
Favorite Moscow recommendation?
I would recommend completing the Boise Grand Slam for anyone who likes to hike. For lunch with friends: head to either Yoi Tomo for sushi, or the Warehouse Food Hall.
