Idaho's Teton region (Fremont, Madison and Teton counties) is one of the crown jewels of the west, an outdoor recreation area that forms the gateway to Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. Its beauty and popularity, however, mask the real economic drivers of the regional economy (call centers plus higher education, agribusiness and construction). This 16-page study explains the workings of that economy by using two measures: gross and economic bases.
