Baby Animals on Campus
Every now and then you have to admit you need animal therapy. Whether you're stressed out, bored or alone, animals are just what you need — especially baby animals. Here are a few places at U of I where you can catch a peek at the baby animals.
Sheep Center
The Sheep Center is located at 950 Farm Road, a half-mile north of campus. Our lambs are Suffolk which are born black and then turn white, making them extra cute.
Dairy Center
The Dairy Center is located at 255 Farm Road in Moscow, behind the Palouse Empire Mall. Our calves come out knock-kneed and adorably wobbly.
Beef Center
The Beef Center is located on Sixth Street, at the western end of the University of Idaho campus in Moscow. Not only are there calves from our purebred Charolais herd, there are also kittens playing hide and seek in the barns.
Barns on the Road
When you drive around Moscow, there are plenty of barns where you might find a variety of baby animals and maybe even a few foals.
While these babies are adorable, we ask that you not touch or feed them. Please do not enter enclosures or working facilities unless you are with an authorized staff member.
